Welcome!

I am currently a senior at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and am double-majoring in Creative Writing and English. I enjoy cooking and traveling, and recently completed five months abroad in Aix-en-Provence, in the south of France. In addition to studying writing, I have also served as a copy-writing intern, writing tutor and secretary in recent years.

My work has appeared in Positive Teen magazine (2007), The Claremont Review (2007), The Bullet (2006), The Mercury (2007, 2008) and The Souderton Independent newspaper (2006). In addition, I've received the honors of first-place poetry winner for the Marion Zulauf Poetry Prize sponsored by the Academy of American Poets (2005), first-place winner for The Mecury (2006), first-place winner for the Souderton Independent holiday writing contest and third-place winner for the Bucks County Writers Room annual Young Writers contest (2002).

This spring, I will serve as the Gettysburg Review's senior intern. I am also the editor-in-chief of the college's literary magazine, The Mercury, and a staff writer for the college's newspaper, The Gettysburgian.

Currently, I am in the process of applying to graduate schools on the east coast, as I hope to get my MFA in Creative Writing within the next two years. Eventually, I hope to teach writing at the collegiate level or teach English abroad in France.
